about

7/4/12. Borusan Muzik Evi, Istanbul.
Canti Liberi, Live.

A leading figure of the Turkish jazz scene, Selen Gülün has been concentrating on international projects lately and she brought along two fabulous musicians from Italy for this concert. Tenor saxophonist Marcello Allulli and percussionist Michele Rabbia who is also a master of electronic music are both regarded an école in their own fields and collaborating at every opportunity, together they are renowned for the most interesting projects they create. Allulli, Rabbia and Gülün blew the winds of the Mediterranean, which is a constant inspiration to them, in Istanbul at the Borusan Music House. The trio performed their programme Canti Liberi (Free Songs), improvising their songs for their audience at this event.
